The Kimpa Vita Institute was born from a meeting of young minds who refuse to surrender. It has the legitimate ambition to create an untouchable place where all these souls – young and having an unshakable faith in a prosperous Africa – will meet and allow their brave ancestors to finally rest in peace in the bowels of an Africa Rising.
The institute aims to be a structure where promising young Congolese leaders will have the opportunity to receive leadership training, exchange with institute alumni and trainers, build a social network, expand their organizational abilities, work on personal development, receive mentorship and become social change agents in an effort to bring about peaceful and lasting change in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The mission
Forming a group of engaged, mobilized and organized young Congolese leaders in the Diaspora. These young leaders will have the ability to influence the environment outside of the Congo while supporting the actions of the groups inside the country so they may unite their efforts to enable the DRC to assume its rightful place as a major power on the African continent and throughout the world.
The vision
A DRC where:
– The enormous wealth of the Congo benefits the sons and daughters of the Congo and Africa at-large;
– The Congolese people control and determine the affairs of the Congo.
